🎗 Our son, Jonathan, has been a part of the SAAAC Autism Centre for several enriching years. Over time, we’ve seen him grow, learn, and benefit from many programs at the Centre. As he matures, we’ve realized the increasingly crucial role of health and wellness in his life.

🔍 For those on the autism spectrum transitioning to adulthood, maintaining physical fitness and an active lifestyle can be daunting. Research, along with our personal experience, echoes these challenges:

The risk of obesity escalates
Physical activity often declines
Mental health issues like anxiety and depression become more prevalent
💪 This year, Jonathan is stepping up to the plate! He’s going to raise funds that will provide students and their caregivers at SAAAC access to FREE physical and mental wellness programs.

🎯 His specific goal? Raise enough money to help 125 families in need engage with SAAAC’s fitness and mental health programs.

🏃 Jonathan is ready to work tirelessly to meet this goal. He’s taking on the 800 Stair Climb Challenge — he will be doing 100 stairs a week for 8 weeks for his challenge.
