It was almost a year ago that our family firsthand experienced the dedication, compassion, and quality care that the entire team at Halifax Hospice provided for our beloved Sherry.

The incredible work that these amazing people put in every single day allowed her to feel comfort, security, love, and peace for her final weeks. They truly thought of everything for her.

They not only provided all of this for her, but they gave us, as her family so much understanding and love that we too felt as comfortable as one could when dealing with an incredibly heartbreaking situation, Halifax Hospice quickly became a second home to us all as we navigated such a difficult time.

For these reasons we are proud to take part in the Hike for Hospice this year, to raise awareness and fundraise for a cause that is so close to our hearts, in the hopes of allowing other families who have to go through these situations the same quality of care that we were so blessed to see.

I am sure Sherry will be smiling down on the day of the hike as we round up our troops to honour the amazing woman we all got to love, while thanking the incredible angels that are the entire team of Halifax Hospice.
