Sign-up must be prior to 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in order to participate at Carpenter Hospice on Saturday, June 3, 2023
All ages are welcome.
On June 3rd, participants must report to the sign-in table at Carpenter Hospice prior to hiking.
Any outstanding funds that were not donated online will be collected the week prior, and on event day at Carpenter Hospice. Please download the print-friendly pledge sheet via the Downloads page. (If you do not plan to attend on event day, please make arrangements to drop off the outstanding cash/cheques)
We encourage you to bring your dog to hike along with you, but they must be leashed at all times, remain on the sidewalk and must be cleaned up after.
If you are experiencing ANY flu-like symptoms, we ask that you please stay home.
Participants must keep on the sidewalks throughout the hike to maintain safety for all.
Carpenter Hospice is not deemed responsible for any injury sustained while on the premises before, during or after the event.
Medical personnel will be on site. If you do have a medical emergency, protocols will be in place at the event to further assist you.
By participating in Hike for Carpenter Hospice, you agree to have photo and video taken of you. If you do not wish to have your likeness used in any future marketing or promotional materials, please contact the hospice.
By signing up for the Hike, you hereby agree to indemnify and hold the Burlington Rotary Community Hospice (AKA Carpenter Hospice) harmless from any and all liability (personal, physical and/or financial) related to the organization and operation of the Hike for Hospice awareness and fundraising event.
We ask that you keep a respectful distance from others at the event whenever possible to maintain optimal health and safety protocols. Masks in crowded areas are encouraged but not mandatory. Since this is a family oriented event, any inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. Please wear appropriate attire for the event. This event is rain or shine. If rain is in the forecast, please bring a jacket and appropriate footwear.
