Hike for Hospice is an annual tradition for many hospices across Canada. This event raises funds and awareness for hospice palliative care services. Our programs and services are offered free of charge to our community and events like this go a long way in making sure those supports are available to anyone in need of them.

Butterfly Effect: This is a new activity this year. You will be able to write a message of support, a quote or even draw a picture for a client or resident that we support. You can also choose to have your photo taken with our Polaroid camera to be included in your card so they can see your smiling faces.

Memorial Quilt: The Memorial Quilt is back again this year, and we welcome you to write a message to a loved one or draw a picture for them. The quilt will replace last year’s and hang in the Rotary Clubs of Burlington Community Room inside the Hospice.

Washrooms: The washroom entrance will be marked with signage and is located in the hallway of the Community wing at the side of the Hospice.

Music: Our Music Therapist, Avalon will be singing and playing guitar before and after the Hike for your enjoyment.

Photos: This area is where you can have you and/or your team pose with our sign. A photographer will be on site to capture these special moments. We will also have a videographer on site this year to capture your smiling faces throughout the morning.

Gathering Area: We ask that you please use this area to gather so we can keep entrance ways and activity areas clear. A reminder to bring a lawn chair to set up in this area. Dogs are also welcome as long as they are leashed and cleaned up after.
